Rovaniemi: Korouoma Canyon & Frozen Waterfalls Tour with BBQ

Overview

Explore Korouoma Canyon in winter, known for its frozen waterfalls and dramatic rock formations that create one of Lapland’s most distinctive natural landscapes. Operated by The Original Aurora Hunters®, Arctic GM is a family-run company with roots in Lapland dating back to the 1600s, combining local knowledge with a focus on small-group guided hiking. After pickup, you will travel to Korouoma Nature Reserve, located away from busy tourist areas. The hike takes you through forest trails and along the canyon floor, where frozen waterfalls form during winter conditions. The pace is moderate, with time to enjoy the scenery, take photos, and learn about the area’s geology and nature. During the hike, you will stop to enjoy a traditional Lapland barbecue with hot drinks in a peaceful outdoor setting.
