Rovaniemi – Northern Lights Small Group

Overview

This is not a bus tour to a fixed location — it’s a real Northern Lights hunt where we actively search for clear skies, sometimes driving far north or even crossing into Sweden to find the best conditions. Many tours in Rovaniemi operate with large buses and fixed stops where guests simply wait and hope the sky clears. We operate small groups (max 8 guests) in a comfortable van, allowing us to stay mobile and react quickly to changing weather and cloud conditions. Our guides monitor forecasts and aurora activity in real time and adjust the route throughout the evening to find clearer skies. Some nights the lights appear close to Rovaniemi. On other nights we may drive far north or even cross the border into Sweden where conditions are better. Aurora Borealis can never be guaranteed, but real aurora hunting is about experience, mobility and making the right decisions to maximize your chances.
