Gold Panning Experience at Kuttura Claim Lapland

Overview

This experience takes place on a real working gold claim in Kuttura, not a tourist demonstration site. During this 3–4 hour experience, you will learn how to identify gold-bearing soil and use traditional tools such as a gold pan, shovel and sluice. The activity is fully hands-on and includes digging, washing and checking material for gold. At the end, the collected material is carefully cleaned, and any gold you find can be taken home in a small glass vial. The group size is limited to a maximum of 8 participants to ensure personal guidance. Pickup from Ivalo and Saariselkä is available on request.
